Origin Of Feng Shui

The Origin

In translation, Feng (風) means “wind” and Shui (水) means “water.” In Chinese culture, wind and water are associated with good health, so good feng shui means good luck.

Some elements of the practice of feng shui date back at least 6,000 years, and contain elements from various branches of academic study, including physics, philosophy, astronomy, and astrology.

It is closely related to the Taoist vision and understanding of nature, particularly the idea that the earth is alive and full of chi / energy.

Feng shui is a tool that can help us restore ourselves to our natural state of the spiritual body. It guides us to find ways to ways to bring peace and harmony into our life.

According to the principles of feng shui, the places we usually visit, including home and office, are direct reflections of our inner world.

The dynamics of feng shui works in both directions, meaning that the more organized, calmed, and relaxed our outer environment is, the more organized, calmed, and relaxed our inner environment will become.

The goal of feng shui is not only to help us create peace and prosperity in our lives but also to help us contribute to the peace and prosperity of the world.

Life Improving Method

In ancient times, feng shui masters would spend most of their lives learning about aspects of life as well as how the environments improved or depleted people’s energy (chi).

They perfected the techniques for arranging the environment to improve the lives of the people. According to feng shui teachings, both we and the things around us are alive, including the buildings we work in or live in, the furnishings we choose, and the land around us are linked in a dynamic connection that shapes the quality of our life.

Until today, the practice of feng shui has remained a vital part of the Chinese culture, despite the practice receiving backlash from the communists who didn’t buy into its ‘mystical elements.’

However, Hong Kong used feng shui to its advantage when building the Bank of China after they learned of the technique’s capacity for helping businesses as well as individuals to thrive.

Today, the essence of feng shui does not solely rely on its cultural aspects as it can also be synthesized with other disciplines so that it can be used effectively to meet the specific requirements of every individual.
