"RTC"是实时时钟的简称,它是一种测量时间的电子设备。"RTC模块"是一个集成RTCIC、振荡电路和主时钟的单一封装模块。没有必要自行设计振荡器电路和调整频率。Epson的各种RTC模块内置XTAL,可节省电源,提供卓越的精度,并简化系统设计。得益于一套丰富的可选功能,如警报和时间戳,RTC可以在计时之外完成多项额外任务。
爱普生RTC模块可以解决电路设计时的三类问题
1、备份电流消耗不符合规格... 在智能电表等在许多物联网应用中,降低电流消耗的趋势越来越强。 对于智能电表,为了安全起见,通常需要时间防篡改功能。然而,如果MCU每次都进行篡改检测,则系统电流消耗可能会很高。爱普生RTC通常具有时间防篡改功能,可以以低得多的功耗接管许多相关管理功能。
2、使用备用电池时,时间信息的数据保持时间太短... 在电源故障期间保持正确的时间信息是一项基本要求。 由于空间限制或成本,高容量电池可能不是一个选项。
3、在极端温度条件下,时钟的准确度会变差... 智能电表对高精度时钟的需求日益增加。智能电表经常暴露在极端天气条件下,RTC可以在很宽的温度范围内保持较高的时钟精度。 而对于工业应用,RTC模块需要高工作温度。这是因为设备内部的温度非常高。很多爱普生RTC模块型号都可以在+105℃状态下正常工作。
举例:高精度、低功耗RX8901CE和RX4901CE
RX8901CE和RX4901CE是两款具有增强功能的RTC模块,可在很宽的温度范围(-40至105°C)内工作。RX8901CE支持I2c总线接口,RX4901CE支持SPI总线接口。 RX8901CE和RX4901CE的主要特性 通过备用电池延长操作时间 低功耗(典型值240nA。) 记录多达3种传感器的时间戳。 时间戳最多可记录32次,最多可支持3个输入。 高温条件下(高达105°C)的高精度时间信息。 借助D-TCXO功能,它可以在很宽的工作温度范围(-40至105°C)内提供高精度时钟 多功能性-界面选择(I2C/SPI)和多种其它功能 支架I2c总线或SPI总线接口标准。还支持多事件引脚、时间戳和其他功能的各种配置.
